Autumn Wedding Bouquet Ideas for the Fall Bride

Everyone is always talking about June weddings…but one of my personal favorite times of year for a wedding is fall. Nothing is quite as beautiful as an autumn wedding bouquet!

Autumn Wedding Bouquet Ideas

So, why autumn? As summer winds down, many brides plan fall weddings to beat the heat and enjoy the cooler days and crisp nights for their celebration. For those wanting an outdoor wedding, September and into October in Utah and many other parts of the U.S. can be beautiful months as the leaves change and guests won’t melt during a daytime ceremony (unless of course it rains…but that is another post for another day)!

At The Rose Shop, we love to create autumn bouquets. The colors tend to differ from the spring and summer arrangements and we can pull elements in that really give our brides the look and feel they are going for on their special day.

Fall Flowers

While most florists can get certain types of flowers any time of the year, there are definitely autumn blooms that are definitive of a fall wedding. Some flowers that are in-season and readily available throughout most of the country are chrysanthemums, anemones, and asters.

A variety of colors are also available and can bring that seasonal feel to your wedding. Popular choices are reds, yellows, oranges, and purples.Add dusty rose to an autumn wedding bouquet by The Rose Shop in Riverton Utah

Tying in special add-ins such as berries, fall leaves, and tall grasses can give any bouquet that instant injection of cool-weather goodness! And don’t forget the sunflower! For an especially earthy bouquet, these cheerful giants can make a big impression.

And why stop at just berries? Autumn is harvest time, and tying in fruits and vegetables to your bouquet can add instant color, texture, and seasonal festiveness. Don’t want them in your actual bouquet? No problem! Centerpieces that include produce such as pears, pomegranates, pumpkins, and grapes can make any fall-inspired tablescape delectable.Autumn wedding centerpieces
